The Metropolitan Council met in regular session on this date at 8:00 p.m. in the Metropolitan Courthouse.
The invocation was offered by Councilmember Craig Jenkins.
The Metropolitan Council gave the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.

Reappointment of Ms. Marcia Jervis to the Farmers Market Board for a term expiring
May 5, 2006. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended
the appointment, and Mr. Ferrell moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded
and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Metropolitan
Historical Commission
Appointment of Mr. Victor C. Tyler, Sr. to the Metropolitan Historical Commission
for a term expiring August 10, 2002. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections
Committee recommended the appointment, and Mr. Ferrell moved for confirmation,
which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Hospital
Authority
Appointment of Ms. Janice Cunningham to the Hospital Authority for a term expiring
June 28, 2006. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended
the appointment, and Mr. Ferrell moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded
and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Reappointment of Dr. Judson Randolph to the Hospital Authority for a term expiring July 11, 2006. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended the appointment, and Mr. Ferrell moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Property
Standards and Appeals Board
Reappointment of Ms. Ida Carrigan to the Board of Property Standards and Appeals
for a term expiring July 29, 2005. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections
Committee recommended the appointment, and Mr. Ferrell moved for confirmation,
which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Metropolitan
Tourism and Convention Commission
Reappointment of Mr. Hugh Harper to the Metropolitan Tourism and Convention
Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2004. The Rules-Confirmations-Public
Elections Committee recommended the appointment, and Mr. Ferrell moved for confirmation,
which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Reappointment of Mr. Joe Henry to the Metropolitan Tourism and Convention Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2004. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended the appointment, and Mr. Ferrell moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.

A resolution requesting the Director of Public Property Administration to introduce for adoption appropriate legislation to condemn the property located at the corner of Second Avenue and Union Street, adjacent to the Stahlman Building. The President announced that elections would be held at the next regular meeting of the Council for chairs of the Planning, Zoning and Historical Committee and Traffic and Parking Committee for two-year terms, President Pro Tem for a one-year term, and two one-year terms on the Council Audit Committee.
