ORDINANCE NO. BL2001-783

An ordinance authorizing the sale of certain property described herein (all of Parcel 25.02, Tax Map 61-4) located north of Briley Parkway and west of Brush Hill Road, to the State of Tennessee in conjunction with the construction of Project No. 19076-2235-04.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, owns certain real property (Tax Map 61-4, Parcel 25.02) consisting of some 0.16 acres, more or less; and

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, in conjunction with Project No. 19076-2235-04, has need of said property for the purposes of right-of-way area (see Exhibit A); and

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee has offered to purchase said property for a total of $1,550.00; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property has determined said offer to be fair; and

WHEREAS, this is land-locked, remnant property and not used whatsoever by the Metropolitan Government.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. That the Director of Public Property Administration is hereby authorized and directed to sell all of Parcel 25.02, Tax Map 61-4 (see Exhibit A), to the State of Tennessee for use in Project No. 19076-2235-04, and is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

SECTION 2. The proceeds from the sale of said property shall be credited to the General Fund of the Metropolitan Government.

SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, requiring it.
