An Ordinance amending Article II and Article III of Chapter 2.04 of the Metropolitan Code relating to Standards for Ethical Conduct and Council Board of Ethical Conduct by revising the standards and the procedures for handling of complaints of misconduct.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. Section 2.04.080 of the Metropolitan Code shall be and the same is hereby amended by inserting the following phrase in the first sentence of subsection C after the words "prohibited by this section":

", so long as it does not exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) in value."

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Amendment No. 1

To

Ordinance No. BL2001-773

Mr. President:

I move to amend Ordinance No. BL2001-773 by amending Section 1 by deleting the following phrase:

", so long a it does not exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) in value"

and substituting in lieu thereof the following phrase:

"provided such amount does not exceed the amounts provided in the Ethics Manual The Code of Official Conduct of the U.S. House of Representatives which is in effect at the time of such gift or benefit is received."
