RESOLUTION NO. R99-1458
A resolution requesting the Davidson County Delegation to the Tennessee General Assembly to have enacted necessary provisions to permit the removal of the local option sales tax on groceries. In the absence of the sponsor, the resolution was deferred.
RESOLUTION NO. R99-1481
A resolution requesting the director and members of the Metro Health Board not to impose boarding or other fees for fostering and/or adoption of animals at the Animal Control Facility. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections-Aviation Committee recommended indefinite deferment of the resolution. Mr. Lineweaver moved to defer action indefinitely on the resolution until a new facility director is employed, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. O98-1278 (as amended) to provide language to clarify expenditures for the relocation of the Fire Department facilities located at 130 Fourth Avenue South. Upon motion duly seconded, the bill passed first reading and was referred to the Budget and Finance and Public Safety-Beer, Wine and Whiskey Committees by a voice vote of the Council.
An ordinance amending Section 11.12.080 of the Metropolitan Code by prohibiting the discharge of firearms in the General Services District during the nighttime. Upon motion duly seconded, the bill passed first reading and was referred to the Public Safety-Beer, Wine and Whiskey Committee by a voice vote of the Council.

An ordinance amending the Metropolitan Code of Laws by adding a new Chapter 2.170 to set forth provisions relative to the Davidson County Farmers Market Commission.
