RESOLUTION NO. R99-1512

A resolution approving a letter of agreement concerning the appropriation of funds from the State of Tennessee, department of finance and administration, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Metropolitan Historical Commission for the benefit of Fort Negley Restoration.

Whereas, pursuant to the terms and conditions stated in Section 12, Tem 581 of the 1998 State Appropriations Act, the State of Tennessee, department of finance and administration has appropriated funds in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Metropolitan Historical Commission for the benefit of Fort Negley Restoration; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this letter of agreement be approved and the funds be appropriated to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Metropolitan Historical Commission.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the letter of agreement from the State of Tennessee concerning the appropriation of funds in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Metropolitan Historical Commission, a copy of which is attached, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) be provided from the Metropolitan Department of Parks and Recreation Fort Negley Fund for the purpose of providing the Metropolitan Government's matching share for the program.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
