ORDINANCE NO. O99-1582

An ordinance approving the transfer of certain property owned by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, to the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (619-621 South 8th Street, Tax Map 93-4, Parcels 68 and 72).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns certain property; and

WHEREAS, this property has been utilized as the Cayce Medical and Dental Center operated by United Neighborhood Health Services, Inc., for the past fourteen years; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency has expressed the desire to acquire and donate said property to the United Neighborhood Health Services, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to transfer property, subject to the approval of the Metropolitan County Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan County Council declares that the following parcels of land owned by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

619-621 South 8th Street
Tax Map 93-4, Parcels 68 and 72

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is hereby authorized to transfer said property listed above to the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency and is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, requiring it.
