ORDINANCE NO. O99-1587
An ordinance approving lease agreements by and between the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting through the departments of Health, Police, Juvenile Court, Social Services and the Metropolitan Board of Public Education.
Whereas, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Departments of Health, Police, Juvenile Court, Social Services and the Metropolitan Board of Education and the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency ("MDHA") have entered into lease agreements for office space; and,
Whereas, these lease agreements are for a period of one year each; and,
Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that these leases be approved.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1: That the lease agreements with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency for office space at the locations set out below, and copies of which are attached hereto, are hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said lease agreements.

Section 2: That any amendments to these lease agreements shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
