RESOLUTION NO. R99-1519

A resolution accepting $18,595.84 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Carlos A. Hoyos.

Whereas, on March 3, 1998, David Michon, an employee of the Department of Police of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, was involved in a vehicular accident with Carlos A. Hoyos. As a result of said accident our employee suffered personal injuries and the Metropolitan Government sustained property damage; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the personal injury claim, representing lost wages, be compromised and settled in the amount of $18,595.84 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $18,595.84 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Carlos A. Hoyos.

Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
