ORDINANCE NO. O99-1652
An ordinance approving a contract between Volunteer State Community College, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Board of Hospitals to permit business students to serve a clerical internship at Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital.
Whereas, Volunteer State Community College wishes to contract with Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital for an ongoing student internship program; and
Whereas, the internship program, supervised by teachers from Volunteer State Community College, will provide the students with clinical experience and provide the staff and patients at Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital with additional administrative/clerical support; and
Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the contract by and between Volunteer State Community College and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Board of Hospitals, for clerical/administrative students to intern at the Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That any amendments to this contract shall be approved by resolution by twenty-one affirmative vote of the Metropolitan Council.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
