A resolution exempting Asahi Japanese Restaurant at 5133 Harding Road, Suite C-1, from the minimum distance requirements for obtaining a beer permit pursuant to Section 7.08.090.E. of the Metropolitan Code. Ms. Evans requested a hearing from the public on this resolution which had been previously advertised. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Property, or his designee, to exercise an option to acquire a flood impacted property by purchase for use as part of the Jefferson Street Stormwater Improvement Project (Proposal No. 2014M-022PR-001). The resolution was approved by the Planning Commission, Budget and Finance, Public Works and Planning, Zoning and Historical Committees.
A resolution approving a contract between the State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Fire Department, authorizing the State to pay the Metropolitan Government for Emergency Transportation Services. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance and Public Safety-Beer and Regulated Beverages Committees.
A resolution accepting a grant from the Tennessee State Library and Archives, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, to provide a well-trained library staff to assist customers in accessing technology as a means of closing the digital divide. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance and Parks, Library and Recreation Committees.
A resolution accepting a grant from The Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to provide funding for one employee’s salary. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance and Parks, Library and Recreation Committees.
A resolution accepting a grant from Sports 4 All, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to provide activities and supplies for the Disabilities Program. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance and Parks, Library and Recreation Committees.
A resolution approving Amendment One (1) to a solid waste collection services contract between Waste Industries of Tennessee, LLC, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through its Department of Public Works, for a change to the pricing schedule, CPI adjustment, contract value and the vehicle age restriction, the extension of the term through the exercise of the renewal option, and the provision of replacement bonds. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance and Public Works Committees.
A resolution approving an application for the Hart Lane Safety Improvements Grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Public Works Department, to reestablish the missing pedestrian path on Hart Lane. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance and Public Works Committees.
A resolution authorizing Arcade Company, Inc., to construct and install an aerial encroachment at 226 5th Avenue North for Walgreens (Proposal No. 2014M-016EN-001). The resolution was approved by the Planning Commission, Public Works and Planning, Zoning and Historical Committee.

A resolution amending Resolution No. RS2014-1215 to specify that the appropriation of two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000.00) as a contribution to the National League of Cities is to be appropriated to the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation to assist with the local preparations necessary for the 2015 National League of Cities Convention. Mr. Pridemore requested a suspension of the rules to allow the resolution to be heard and no objection was made. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance Committee. A resolution supporting efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and supporting President Obama’s Clean Power Plan to reduce carbon pollution from power plants.
