ORDINANCE NO. BL2014-954

An ordinance approving an agreement between the Metropolitan Government and Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. (“Live Nation”) relating to management of the West Riverfront Amphitheater currently under construction.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is improving a portion of the west bank of the Cumberland River in downtown Nashville as a public park; and,

WHEREAS, an amphitheater (the “Amphitheater”) is being constructed in a portion of the park to be used for live performances and civic events; and,

WHEREAS, Live Nation is an experienced manager of performance venues; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the document (the “Agreement”) attached hereto and incorporated into this ordinance as Exhibit A, the Metropolitan Government proposes to engage Live Nation to serve as manager of the Amphitheater.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The document attached as Exhibit A to this ordinance (the Agreement) is hereby approved, and its execution on behalf of the Metropolitan Government is authorized.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
