ORDINANCE NO. BL2014-956

An ordinance authorizing acceptance of easements from the State of Tennessee for public right-of-way and greenway maintenance purposes in connection with development of the new minor league baseball park in the area known as Sulphur Dell (Proposal No. 2014M-076ES-001).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is building a new minor league baseball ballpark and related improvements in the area known as Sulphur Dell; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the agreement (the “Agreement”) attached and incorporated into this ordinance as Exhibit A, the Metropolitan Government proposes to acquire real property easements for public right-of-way and greenway maintenance from the State of Tennessee; and,

WHEREAS, approval of the Agreement is in the best interest of the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The document attached as Exhibit A to this ordinance (the Agreement) is hereby approved, and its execution on behalf of the Metropolitan Government is authorized.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
