The Metropolitan Council met in regular session on this date at 6:30 p.m. in the Metropolitan Courthouse.
The invocation was offered by Pastor Pat Wagner of Crieve Hall Church of Christ.
The Metropolitan Council gave the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.

- ELECTIONS AND CONFIRMATIONS -
Agricultural Extension Board
Appointment of Ms. Sherri Smith for a term expiring August 1, 2017. Ms. Smith will fill the unexpired term of Ms. Mauna Crabtree. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Farmers Market Board
Reappointment of Ms. Margot McCormack for a term expiring May 5, 2021. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Nashville Education Community and Arts Television (NECAT)
Appointment of Ms. Carline Sprouse for a term expiring May 5, 2017. Ms. Sprouse will fill the unexpired term of Ms. Jennifer Buck-Wallace. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Social Services Commission
Appointment of Ms. Elizabeth Kirkland for a term expiring April 3, 2021. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Transportation Licensing Commission
Appointment of Mr. Freddie Carr for a term expiring April 30, 2018. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Reappointment of Mr. Sal Hernandez for a term expiring April 30, 2018. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
