Minutes Metropolitan Council Meeting |
The Metropolitan Council met in regular session on this date at 6:30 p.m. in the Metropolitan Courthouse.
The invocation was offered by Pastor Pat Wagner of Crieve Hall Church of Christ.
The Metropolitan Council gave the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.

- ELECTIONS AND CONFIRMATIONS -
Agricultural Extension Board
Appointment of Ms. Sherri Smith for a term expiring August 1, 2017. Ms. Smith will fill the unexpired term of Ms. Mauna Crabtree. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Farmers Market Board
Reappointment of Ms. Margot McCormack for a term expiring May 5, 2021. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Nashville Education Community and Arts Television (NECAT)
Appointment of Ms. Carline Sprouse for a term expiring May 5, 2017. Ms. Sprouse will fill the unexpired term of Ms. Jennifer Buck-Wallace. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Social Services Commission
Appointment of Ms. Elizabeth Kirkland for a term expiring April 3, 2021. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Transportation Licensing Commission
Appointment of Mr. Freddie Carr for a term expiring April 30, 2018. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Reappointment of Mr. Sal Hernandez for a term expiring April 30, 2018. Mr. Shulman moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by making applicable the provisions of the Contextual Overlay District to various properties located along Boyce Court, Buena Vista Pike, Charles Court, Dove Place, Dyer Court, East Fairview Drive, Eve Circle, Flicker Drive, Harold Prewett Drive, Haynes Park Court, Haynes Park Drive, Hummingbird Drive, Kings Lane, Kingview Court, Kingsview Drive, Mallard Drive, Pheasant Drive, Tucker Road, West Hamilton Avenue, and Walters Court (231.8 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2016Z-037PR-001). An ordinance amending Chapter 17.40 of Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code, Zoning Regulations, pertaining to the zoning application fees and public hearing notice costs for amendments to the official zoning map initiated by a member or members of the Metropolitan Council (Proposal No. 2016Z-007TX-001). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Ms. Vercher requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised. The bill was disapproved by the Planning Commission. Ms. Karen Johnson requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised. (Proposal No. 2016Z-011TX-001). Ms. Mina Johnson moved to defer the bill to the August public hearing, which motion was seconded and approved by a voice vote of the Council.
