ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-317
An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon an existing sewer main, water main and appurtenances and easements and to accept new sewer main, water mains, manhole assemblies and easements for property located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, (MWS Project No. 16-SL-0012 and 16-WL-0007 and Proposal No. 2016M-025ES-001).
WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 688 linear feet of existing 12 inch and 15 inch sanitary sewers and appurtenances and easement, abandonment of approximately 545 linear feet of an existing six inch water main and appurtenances, acceptance of approximately 866 linear feet of new 18 inch sanitary sewer and six manhole units and easement and acceptance of approximately 534 linear feet of new eight inch water main and one new fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, are needed to construct project numbers 16-SL-0012 and 16-WL-0007 and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2016M-024ES-001 on June 6, 2016, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sewer main, six manholes, water main and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 688 linear feet of existing 12 inch and 15 inch sanitary sewers and appurtenances and easement, to abandon approximately 545 linear feet of an existing six inch water main and appurtenances, to accept approximately 866 linear feet of new 18 inch sanitary sewer and six manhole units and easement and approximately 534 linear feet of new eight inch water main and one new fire hydrant assembly, for property located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, as shown below and on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
