A resolution establishing the certified tax rate in the General Services District, and declaring the amount of the certified rate for the Urban Services District, pursuant to the provision of Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-5-1701, et seq. Mr. Gentry offered a substitute resolution and moved that it be accepted for filing and no objection was made.
SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-637

A resolution adopting new pay plans for employees of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County effective July 1, 2001, July 1, 2002, and July 1, 2003, excluding employees of the Board of Health, Board of Education and the Police and Fire Departments, and setting the salary for the Metropolitan Mayor, Metropolitan Vice-Mayor, Public Defender, and the Metropolitan County Council. The increase for the Public Defender will become effective upon the beginning of the next elective year. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance Committee. An ordinance amending Section 5.32.030 and Section 5.32.110 of the Metropolitan Code by increasing the commercial vehicle regulatory license and motor vehicle regulatory license fees. Mr. Wallace moved to withdraw the bill, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.
