ORDINANCE NO. BL2001-712

An ordinance approving the sale of certain property held by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee (Parcel 378, Tax Map 82-3; 1112 Lischey Avenue).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns certain property located at 1112 Lischey Avenue; and

WHEREAS, said property was awarded to the Metropolitan Government, specifically for Metropolitan Police Department, as a result of a plea bargain arrangement.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has determined that this property (see attached Exhibit A) is not needed for general governmental purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to sell property, subject to the approval of the Metropolitan County Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan County Council declares that the following parcel of land held by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

Tax Map 82-3, Parcel 378
1112 Lischey Avenue

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is hereby authorized to sell the said property listed above in accordance with established rules and regulations and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

SECTION 3. The proceeds from the sale of said property shall be credited to the Drug Enforcement Fund 30147.31740201 of the Metropolitan Government.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
