The Metropolitan Council met in regular session on this date at 6:30 p.m. in the Metropolitan Courthouse.
The invocation was offered by Pastor Nathan DeLima of Madison Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The Metropolitan Council gave the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.

ELECTIONS AND CONFIRMATIONS
Community Corrections Advisory Board
Appointment of Ms. Amanda Kelly for a term expiring August 31, 2019. The Rules, Confirmations, and Public Elections Committee recommended the appointment. Ms. Haywood moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency
Reappointment of Mr. Ralph Mosley for a term expiring November 5, 2022. At the request of the nominee, the confirmation was deferred.
Solid Waste Region Board
Reappointment of Ms. Jennifer Hackett for a term expiring December 15, 2023. At the request of the nominee, the confirmation was deferred.

CONSENT AGENDA RESOLUTIONS
A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to compromise and settle the personal injury claim of Maria Guillen-Chavez against the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in the amount of $20,000.00, and that said amount be paid out of the Self-Insured Liability Fund. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance Committee.
A resolution accepting a discretionary grant from The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office of Resilience, to support the ongoing efforts of the Nashville Financial Empowerment Center. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance Committee.
A resolution accepting a grant from the Association of Food and Drug Officials to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide training to staff members to enhance conformance with Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance and Health, Hospitals, and Social Services Committees.
A resolution accepting a grant from the Association of Food and Drug Officials to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to fund travel expenses for Health Department staff to attend Food Environmentalist Training. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance and Health, Hospitals, and Social Services Committees.
A resolution approving an Agreement to Detail for the Public Health Associate Program (PHAP) between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide an Associate to assist public health agencies in developing, implementing, and evaluating public health programs. The resolution was approved by the Health, Hospitals, and Social Services Committee.
A resolution accepting a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to support delivery of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program employment and training (LW09F181QSNAP18). The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance and Personnel, Public Information, Human Relations, and Housing Committees.

A resolution approving an application for a Community Food Projects Competitive Grant from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Office of the Mayor, to offer greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables to food insecure patients through the Nashville Fruit and Vegetable Rx Program. The resolution was approved by the Budget and Finance Committee. Ms. Vercher moved to withdraw, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

An ordinance amending the Metropolitan Code of Laws Title 10, Section 10.20.360, Solid waste generator fees, to clarify fees due upon landfilling construction and demolition waste. An ordinance amending Chapter 12.42 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws to establish a commercial permit parking program. The

An ordinance amending Chapter 2.44 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws to establish a Community Oversight Board responsible for providing citizen oversight over officers of the Metro Nashville Police Department in certain instances. Previously deferred indefinitely by Rule No. 24, Mr. Scott Davis requested the bill be placed on this agenda to allow an override of the indefinite deferral.
