RESOLUTION NO. RS2014-1051

A resolution appropriating the amount of $9,106,300.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of equipment and building repairs for various departments of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $25,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Davidson County Clerk for equipment.

Section 2. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $14,200.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Department of Codes and Building Safety for equipment.

Section 3. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $3,500,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Department of General Services for equipment.

Section 4. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $12,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Finance Department for equipment.

Section 5. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $50,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Historical Commission for equipment.

Section 6. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,199,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for Information Technology Services for equipment.

Section 7. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $250,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for Justice Integration Services for equipment.

Section 8. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $865,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for equipment.

Section 9. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $100,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Metropolitan Clerk’s Office for equipment.

Section 10. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $100,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for Metropolitan Parks and Recreation for equipment and building repairs.

Section 11. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $25,100.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office for equipment.

Section 12. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $254,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Municipal Auditorium for equipment and building repairs.

Section 13. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $50,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Nashville Farmers’ Market for equipment and building repairs.

Section 14. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $600,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Nashville Fire Department for equipment and building repairs.

Section 15. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $500,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Nashville General Hospital for equipment and building repairs.

Section 16. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $50,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Nashville Public Health Department for equipment.

Section 17. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,500,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Nashville Public Library for equipment.

Section 18. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $12,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Office of Internal Audit for equipment and building repairs.

Section 19. As required by Ordinance No. 086-1534, information justifying the appropriations is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheets" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 20. Where applicable, the Purchasing Agent shall procure repairs specified in the attachments in accordance with the established purchasing procedures; provided that purchases of computer equipment and software hereunder shall be based upon a recommendation from the appropriate department and the Information Systems Director.

Section 21. The Director of Finance may schedule acquisitions authorized herein to ensure an appropriate balance in the Fund.

Section 22. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
