SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-395

A resolution appropriating the amount of $9,255,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of equipment and building repairs for various departments of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $20,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for Bordeaux Long-Term Care for building repairs.

Section 2. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $400,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Davidson County Election Commission for equipment.

Section 3. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $200,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office for equipment.

Section 4. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $700,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the General Services Department for equipment and building repairs.

Section 5. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $3,080,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for Information Technology Services for equipment.

Section 6. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,200,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for equipment.

Section 7. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $60,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for Metropolitan Planning Department for equipment.

Section 8. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $500,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Nashville Fire Department for equipment and building repairs.

Section 9. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $480,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Nashville General Hospital for equipment and building repairs.

Section 10. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,500,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Nashville Public Library for equipment.

Section 11. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $250,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Parks and Recreation Department for equipment and building repairs.

Section 12. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $720,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Public Works Department for equipment.

Section 13. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $30,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Tennessee State Fair for equipment and building repairs.

Section 14. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $115,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Transportation Licensing Commission for equipment and building repairs.

Section 15. As required by Ordinance No. 086-1534, information justifying the appropriations is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheets" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 16. Where applicable, the Purchasing Agent shall procure repairs specified in the attachments in accordance with the established purchasing procedures; provided that purchases of computer equipment and software hereunder shall be based upon a recommendation from the appropriate department and the Information Systems Director.

Section 17. The Director of Finance may schedule acquisitions authorized herein to ensure an appropriate balance in the Fund.

Section 18. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Madam President:

I move to amend Resolution No. RS2012-395 as follows:
1. By deleting the following provision:
“Section 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $400,000.00 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the Davidson County Election Commission for equipment.”
2. By deleting the General Fund 4% Reserve Fund Information Sheet incorporated into Section 13 of the Resolution for the Davidson County Election Commission to eliminate the $400,000 appropriation to purchase 200 “Electronic Poll Books for Voting Sites”.
