ORDINANCE NO. BL2017-623

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water line and to accept new water line, sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes, fire hydrants and any associated easements, for properties located at 0 River Road and 5820 River Road, (MWS Project Nos. 16-SL-256 and 16-WL-212 and Proposal No. 2017M-020ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 970 linear feet of existing four inch water line, and the acceptance of approximately 1135 linear feet of new eight inch water line, approximately 999 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes, two fire hydrants and any associated easements, for properties located at 0 River Road and 5820 River Road, are needed to construct Project Nos. 16-SL-256 and 16-WL-212; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2017M-020ES-001 on February 1, 2017, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water and sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes, fire hydrants and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 970 linear feet of existing four inch water line, and to accept approximately 1135 linear feet of new eight inch water line, approximately 999 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes, two fire hydrants and any associated easements, for properties located at 0 River Road and 5820 River Road, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
