ORDINANCE NO. BL2017-615

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing sanitary sewer main and a manhole unit and to accept new sanitary sewer main and manholes for property located at 1209 Hawkins Street (MWS Project No. 16-SL-251 and Proposal No. 2017M-011ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 12 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main and a sanitary manhole, and the acceptance of approximately 161 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main and two sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 1209 Hawkins Street, are needed to construct Project No. 16-SL-251; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2017M-011ES-001 on January 18, 2017, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer mains and manholes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 12 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main and a sanitary sewer manhole, and to accept approximately 161 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main and two sanitary sewer manholes, for property located at 1209 Hawkins Street, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
