ORDINANCE NO. BL2017-591

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon and accept sewer and water mains, sanitary manholes, and easements for property located at 1500 12th Avenue South (MWS Project Nos. 16-WG-0077 and 16-SG-0250 and Proposal No. 2017M-010ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 190 linear feet of six inch water main, approximately 250 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main, four sanitary sewer manholes and any associated easements, and the acceptance of a new sanitary sewer manhole, for property located at 1500 12th Avenue South, is needed to construct Project Nos. 16-WG-0077 and 16-SG-0250 and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2017M-010ES-001 on December 20, 2016, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sewer and water mains, sanitary manholes, and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 190 linear feet of six inch water main, approximately 250 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main, four sanitary sewer manholes and any associated easements, and to accept a new sanitary sewer manhole for property located at 1500 12th Avenue South as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
