ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-485

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water main and any associated easements and to accept new sanitary sewer and water mains and any associated easements, sanitary sewer manholes and fire hydrants for property located at 0 Ashland City Highway (MWS Project No. 16-WL-75 and 16-SL-60 and Proposal No. 2016M-054ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 80 linear feet of existing eight inch water main and any associated easements and the acceptance of approximately 2,037 linear feet of eight inch water main, 2,382 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main, 15 sanitary sewer manholes, four fire hydrants, one relocated fire hydrant and any associated easements, for property located at 0 Ashland City Highway, are needed to construct Project Number 16-WL-75 and 16-SL-60 and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2016M-054ES-001 on October 10, 2016, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sewer and water mains, easements, sanitary sewer manholes and fire hydrants.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 80 linear feet of existing eight inch water main and any associated easements, and to accept approximately 2,037 linear feet of eight inch water main, 2,382 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer main, 15 sanitary sewer manholes, four fire hydrants, one relocated fire hydrant and any associated easements, for properties located at 0 Ashland City Highway, as shown on Exhibit 1, which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
