ORDINANCE NO. BL2015-1285
An ordinance to amend the Geographic Information Systems Street and Alley Centerline Layer for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County by naming a former private alley, Alley No. 1420, and accepting Alley No. 1420 for maintenance (Proposal No. 2015M-017AB-001).
WHEREAS, the owners of Parcels 1-7 and Parcels 30-37 on Map 49-9-A have dedicated by deed a 16 foot wide strip of land along the entire rear line of their parcels for a public alley right-of-way. It is the desire of these property owners that said alley be accepted for maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the alley must be officially named to be added to the GIS Map; and
WHEREAS, the naming and acceptance of said portion of right-of-way has been approved by the Public Works Department and the Planning Department subject to the final approval of the Metropolitan Council and the Mayor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Geographic Information Systems Street and Alley Centerline Layer for The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, as enacted by Ordinance No. BL2015-1041, be and is hereby amended as follows:
The right-of-way located behind parcels 1-7 & Parcels 30-37 on Map 49-9-A, all of which is more particularly described by lines, words and figures on the sketch which is attached to and made a part of this Ordinance as though copied herein, is hereby named Alley No. 1420 and accepted for maintenance.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
