RESOLUTION RS2017-992

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to promote the control and surveillance of mosquito-borne diseases such as West Nile and Zika Virus transmission in Tennessee.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, approved by RS2017-888; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by deleting Section C.3 in its entirety and replacing with C.3 Payment Methodology – Total Advance Payment, deleting Section C.5 in its entirety and renumbering subsequent sections accordingly, and deleting Section C.7 in its entirety and replacing with C.7 Disbursement Reconciliation and Close Out; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to promote the control and surveillance of mosquito-borne diseases such as West Nile and Zika Virus transmission in Tennessee, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
