RESOLUTION RS2017-953
A resolution approving amendment one to a contract between The State of Tennessee, Department of Health, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide Medical Examiner Investigations, Postmortem Examinations, and Consultations.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract with The State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to provide Medical Examiner Investigations, Postmortem Examinations, and Consultations approved by RS2016-476; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the contract by decreasing the amount of the award by $17,500.00 from $1,191,445.00 to $1,173,945.00, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the contract by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide Medical Examiner Investigations, Postmortem Examinations, and Consultations; a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
