RESOLUTION RS2017-914
A resolution approving Amendment One to the license agreement between the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Nashville Farmers’ Market, and the State of Tennessee for parking for the Nashville Farmers’ Market (Proposal No. 2017M-040PR-001).
WHEREAS, the Nashville Farmers’ Market (hereinafter “the Farmers’ Market”) is in need of parking spaces to accommodate vendors of the Market; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of General Services (hereinafter “the State”), has space available to meet Licensee’s needs, but needs to amend the existing license agreement as it relates to the location of space(s) approved for Farmers’ Market use; and,
WHEREAS, the State and the Farmers’ Market desire to enter into Amendment One to the License Agreement (attached hereto and incorporated by reference) to allow the Farmers’ Market to use the State’s spaces and adjacent areas for the purpose of providing vendor parking; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that Amendment One to the License Agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Amendment One to the License Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Farmers’ Market, and the State of Tennessee is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
