RESOLUTION RS2017-795

A resolution approving an agreement between the Public Health Accreditation Board and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, in order to apply to become an accredited public health department.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Board of Health and the Public Health Accreditation Board wish to enter into an agreement regarding the application to become an accredited public health department; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this license agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the agreement between the Public Health Accreditation Board and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, in order to apply to become an accredited public health department, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Director of the Metropolitan Public Health Department is hereby authorized to execute such documents necessary as to carry out the effect of this Resolution.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
