RESOLUTION RS2017-772

A resolution accepting a grant from the Friends of Green Hills Softball to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to provide materials and labor to be used in the construction and installation of a batting cage and bullpen area in support of the Green Hills Girls Softball League in Green Hills Park.

WHEREAS, the Friends of Green Hills Softball have awarded materials and labor with an estimated value not to exceed $21,200.00 with no cash match required to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to provide materials and labor to be used in the construction and installation of a batting cage and bullpen area in support of the Green Hills Girls Softball League in Green Hills Park, a copy of which grant is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the Friends of Green Hills Softball, with an estimated value not to exceed $21,200.00, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to provide materials and labor to be used in the construction and installation of a batting cage and bullpen area in support of the Green Hills Girls Softball League in Green Hills Park, a copy of which grant is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the materials and labor be appropriated to the Parks and Recreation Department.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
