RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-759
A resolution authorizing the reapplication for an amendment to the Official Zoning Map to rezone property located at Sharpe Avenue (unnumbered), for which an amendment was previously disapproved by the Council within the past year.
WHEREAS, Section 17.40.100 of the Metropolitan Code provides that a reapplication for the same or substantially the same amendment to the official zoning map previously disapproved by the Council shall not be accepted for a period of one year following the last action of the Council, however, the Council may reinitiate a rezoning bill at any time; and
WHEREAS, on May 16, 2017, Ordinance No. BL2017-673 to rezone from RS5 to RM20 zoning property located at Sharpe Avenue (unnumbered), approximately 800 feet west of Ellington Parkway, (0.4 acres), was disapproved by the Council; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to allow the reapplication for an amendment to the official zoning map for located at Sharpe Avenue (unnumbered) to be accepted by the Metropolitan Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 17.40.100 of the Metropolitan Code, the Metropolitan Council hereby authorizes the reapplication for an amendment to the official zoning map to rezone from RS5 to RM20 for property located at Sharpe Avenue (unnumbered), approximately 800 feet west of Ellington Parkway, (0.4 acres).
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
