RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-726
A resolution approving an amendment to a grant agreement between Rebuilding Together Nashville and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the provision of the rehabilitation of affordable housing units.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Metropolitan Housing Trust Fund Commission (the “Commission”), and Recipient are parties to that certain Grant Agreement, dated April 19, 2017 (the “Grant Agreement”), as authorized by the Metropolitan Council Resolution No. RS2017-646, pursuant to which the Metropolitan Government agreed to make a grant of $142,532.30 to Recipient for the provision of rehabilitation of affordable housing units; and,
WHEREAS, the original Grant Agreement called for a distribution of grant funds in three phases; and,
WHEREAS, both parties desire the grant funds to be distributed in two phases; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with the terms of the Grant Agreement, an amendment to the Grant Agreement must be in writing and approved by resolution by the Metropolitan Council; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment to the Grant Agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1: The Amendment to the Grant Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor or her designee is authorized to execute the Amendment.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
