RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-721

A resolution approving the salary for the Chief Medical Director of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

WHEREAS, pursuant to § 10.105 of the Charter of the Metropolitan Government, the Metropolitan Board of Health has the authority to appoint a Chief Medical Director and enter into a contract with such person establishing the compensation to be paid for services provided; and,

WHEREAS, § 10.105 of the Metropolitan Charter further provides that the compensation established by the Metropolitan Board of Health is subject to approval by resolution by the Metropolitan County Council; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Board of Health has renewed its contract with William S. Paul, M.D. to serve as the Chief Medical Director and has established his compensation as required by the Charter.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the compensation established by the Metropolitan Board of Health, as provided in the attached contract for William S. Paul, M.D., is approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
