RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-685

A resolution approving the Metropolitan Animal Care and Control fee schedule.

WHEREAS, Section 8.04.130(A) of the Metropolitan Code authorized the Metropolitan Board of Health to set certain fees related to animal control; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Board of Health has approved the attached fee schedule; and,

WHEREAS, Section 8.04.130(A) of the Metropolitan Code further provides that such fees shall be ratified by resolution of the Metropolitan Council prior to becoming effective; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the residents of Nashville and Davidson County that the Metropolitan Council ratify the attached animal control fee schedule.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Animal Control Fee Schedule approved by the Metropolitan Board of Health, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby ratified and approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-685

Mr. President –

I hereby move to amend Resolution No. RS2017-685 as follows:

I. By amending Section 1 by deleting the Animal Control Fee Schedule referenced therein as attached, and submitting in lieu thereof the Animal Control Fee Schedule attached hereto.
