RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-668

A resolution approving a Jail Garden Grant from the Davidson County Farm Bureau to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, for the enhancement of the horticulture program and community gardens program.

WHEREAS, the Davidson County Farm Bureau has awarded a Jail Garden Grant in an amount not to exceed $2,000.00 with no cash match required to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, for the enhancement of the horticulture program and community gardens program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Jail Garden Grant by and between the Davidson County Farm Bureau, in an amount not to exceed $2,000.00, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, for the enhancement of the horticulture program and community gardens program, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office based on revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
