RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-657

A resolution amending RS2015-10, which approved an application for the 2016 Severe Repetitive Loss Buyout Project Grant from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to add to that resolution the maximum prices to be paid for each parcel consistent with BL2010-765.

WHEREAS, RS2015-10 authorized Metro to submit to the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, an application for the 2016 Severe Repetitive Loss Buyout Project Grant with an award of $953,260.00 with no cash match required to purchase and remove five houses which lie in various floodplain areas of the county; and,

WHEREAS BL2010-765 authorizes the Water Services Department to administer such grants upon approval of a resolution identifying the specific parcels to be acquired and the maximum price to be paid for each parcel; and,

WHEREAS, BL2015-10 identified the specific parcels to be acquired but did not identify the maximum prices to be paid for each parcel; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that RS2015-10 be amended to identify the maximum prices to be paid for each parcel, so that the Water Services Department may administer the grant and acquire the properties in question.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That RS2015-10 is hereby amended and supplemented by adding to it the attached list of the maximum prices to be paid for each parcel identified in RS2015-10, as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, which is incorporated therein.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
