RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-655

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to use funds to pay for Administrative costs (LW09F152MNSWA15).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to use funds to pay for Administrative costs; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to delete all references to tracking number LW09F155MNRSP15 and to replace it with LW09F152MNSWA15 and replace all references to “Rapid Response funds” with “Statewide for Dislocated Worker funds” and attachments (A, C, and D) are deleted in their entirety and replaced with corresponding new attachments (A, C, and D), a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to use funds to pay for Administrative costs, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
