RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-648

A resolution approving the selection of the Neighborhoods Resource Center by the Department of Codes Administration to operate the Codes Offender School.

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Code of Laws § 16.24.185 creates a codes offender school for the purpose of providing education about the property standards provisions in the Metropolitan Code; and,

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Code of Laws § 16.24.185 further provides that the Department of Codes Administration has the authority to select a nonprofit organization to operate the codes offender school subject to the approval of such organization by a resolution adopted by the Metropolitan Council; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Department of Codes Administration, has selected the Neighborhoods Resource Center to operate the codes offender school; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the Metropolitan Council approve the selection of the Neighborhoods Resource Center as reflected in the attached contract.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the selection of the Neighborhoods Resource Center by the Department of Codes Administration to operate the codes offender school as reflected in the attached contract is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
