RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-626

A resolution approving amendment one to a sub-recipient grant agreement by and between the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Department of Social Services/Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, to provide services for homelessness persons housed through the 100,000 Homes Campaign and to provide outreach to persons living in encampments.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Department of Social Services/Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) to provide services for homelessness persons housed through the 100,000 Homes Campaign and to provide outreach to persons living in encampments approved by RS2016-446; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by amending Section III – Payment A. to decrease the original award of $40,000.00 to $25,000.00 for the Nashville Outreach Team for Encampments (N.O.T.E.) and to increase “one-time payments”, paragraph five, page one, by $15,000.00 from $50,000.00 to $65,000.00; and to replace in its entirety Exhibit A Scope of Work; a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the sub-recipient grant agreement by and between the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Department of Social Services/Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, to provide services for homelessness persons housed through the 100,000 Homes Campaign and to provide outreach to persons living in encampments, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
