RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-600

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Action Commission, to support the Community Service Poverty Fund.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Action Commission previously entered into a Direct Appropriation Grant with the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to support the Community Service Poverty Fund; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Action Commission has accepted this grant pursuant to its authority under M.C.L. 2.108.050; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $3,000.00 to the previous grant total of $22,050.00 for a new grant total of $25,050.00, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved and that the funds be appropriated to the Metropolitan Action Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services and the Metropolitan Action Commission, to support the Community Service Poverty Fund, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant is to be appropriated to the Metropolitan Action Commission based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
