RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-556

A resolution approving an amendment to Contract Number L-3670, a grant agreement between Oasis Center Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the provision of services that help youth grow, thrive and create positive change in their lives and in our community.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Nashville Public Library (the “Library”), and Grantee are parties to a grant agreement, dated September 7, 2016 (the “Grant Agreement”), as authorized by the Metropolitan County Council Resolution No. RS2016-413, pursuant to which the Metropolitan Government agreed to make a grant of Thirty Thousand dollars to Grantee for the provision of services that help youth grow, thrive and create positive change in their lives and in our community; and

WHEREAS, the original grant contract number L-3670 stated in error that the grant term is to be from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016; and

WHEREAS, the grant term of the grant contract is in fact from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with the terms of the Grant Agreement, an amendment to the Grant Agreement must in writing and passed by resolution by the Metropolitan Council; and

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment to the contract be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: Section B.1 Grant Contract Term shall be amended as follows:

The sentence, “The term of this Grant will be twelve (12) months, commencing on July 1, 2015 and ending on June 30, 2016.” shall be deleted and replaced with the sentence, “The term of this Grant will be twelve (12) months, commencing on July 1, 2016 and ending on June 30, 2017.”.

Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
