RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-540

A resolution approving the Metropolitan Animal Care and Control fee schedule.

WHEREAS, Section 8.04.130(A) of the Metropolitan Code authorized the Metropolitan Board of Health to set certain fees related to animal control; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Board of Health has approved the attached fee schedule; and

WHEREAS, Section 8.04.130(A) of the Metropolitan Code further provides that such fees shall be ratified by resolution of the Metropolitan Council prior to becoming effective; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the residents of Nashville and Davidson County that the Metropolitan Council ratify the attached animal control fee schedule.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Animal Control Fee Schedule approved by the Metropolitan Board of Health, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby ratified and approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
