RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-510

A resolution accepting a donation from Rescue Air to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Nashville Fire Department.

WHEREAS, Rescue Air wishes to donate a firefighter air replenishment system to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the use and benefit of the Nashville Fire Department; and,

WHEREAS, a copy of the donation letter is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Metropolitan Code of Laws § 5.04.120(B), donations exceeding $5,000 may be accepted and appropriated pursuant to Resolution; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation by Rescue Air of a firefighter air replenishment system, and the testing, certification, and maintenance of the system for five years, approximately valued at $32,800, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the use and benefit of the Nashville Fire Department, pursuant to the donation letter attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Nashville Fire Department is hereby authorized to accept this donation for its use and benefit.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
