RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-79

A resolution accepting a grant from the Dorothy Cate and Thomas F. Frist Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission to benefit the How’s Nashville Project “Housing 2,016 by 2016”.

WHEREAS, the Dorothy Cate and Thomas F. Frist Foundation has awarded a grant in the amount of $10,000.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission to benefit the How’s Nashville Project “Housing 2,016 by 2016”; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant in the amount of $10,000.00 from the Dorothy Cate and Thomas F. Frist Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission to benefit the How’s Nashville Project “Housing 2,016 by 2016”, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Metropolitan Nashville Social Services Commission is hereby authorized to accept this grant for its use and benefit.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
