RESOLUTION NO. RS2017-512

A resolution approving an agreement between Susan and Luke Simons, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, for the donation of four artworks to be installed and displayed in the Nashville Public Library.

WHEREAS, the agreement between Susan and Luke Simons and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, attached hereto and incorporated herein, donates four artworks to be installed and displayed in locations throughout Metro; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Arts Commission approves of and recommends the approval of the agreement between Susan and Luke Simons and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to donate four artworks to be installed and displayed in the Nashville Public Library; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the agreement by and between Susan and Luke Simons and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Public Library, for the donation of four artworks to be installed and displayed in the Nashville Public Library, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
