RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-427

A resolution approving a license agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Farmers’ Market, and the State of Tennessee, Department of General Services, for parking spaces (Proposal No. 2016M-031PR-001).

WHEREAS, Nashville Farmers’ Market (hereinafter “the Farmers’ Market”) is in need of parking spaces to accommodate vendors of the Farmers’ Market; and,

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of General Services, (hereinafter “the State”) has a Lot and adjacent areas available to meet Licensee’s needs; and,

WHEREAS, the State and the Farmers’ Market desire to enter into this License Agreement to allow the Farmers’ Market to use the State’s Lot and adjacent areas for the purpose of providing vendor parking; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the License Agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the License Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Farmers’ Market, and the State of Tennessee, Department of General Services, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
