RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-378

A resolution approving a memorandum of agreement between Access Fiber Group, Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Historical and Historic Zoning Commissions, for the commissioning of an Economic Impact Study and a monetary contribution for the purchase of a historical marker at Fort Nashborough.

WHEREAS, Access Fiber Group, Inc. plans to construct Distributed Antenna System Nodes in various areas of Davidson County, including historic areas of downtown Nashville; and,

WHEREAS, in consultation with the Tennessee State Historic Preservation officer, Access Fiber Group, Inc., has agreed, pursuant to the Memorandum of Agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein (“the Agreement”), to commission an Economic Impact Study evaluating historic preservation policies and activities, and to make a monetary donation in the amount of $2,000 to the Metropolitan Historical Commission Foundation for an interpretive historical marker at Fort Nashborough; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the Agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Historical and Historic Zoning Commissions, and Access Fiber Group, Inc. is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
