RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-328

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to support the provision of mental health services and criminal justice system advocacy to victims of violent crime.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, to support the provision of mental health services and criminal justice system advocacy to victims of violent crime approved by RS2015-1543; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by increasing the award by $30,025.00 from $626,220.00 to $656,245.00 and increasing the cash match by $7,506.00 from $156,555.00 to $164,061.00, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to support the provision of mental health services and criminal justice system advocacy to victims of violent crime, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
