RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-316

A resolution authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Public Works, to enter into Signal Maintenance Agreement No. 150209 with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, to construct PIN number 119739.00, RSAR: I-24 Interchange at SR-171(Old Hickory Blvd), Exit 62, Eastbound Ramp, Ramp Queue Project, State Project No. 19002-3186-94.

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation (“TDOT”) desires to enter into a Signal Maintenance Agreement with The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (“Metro”) to provide for the installation and maintenance of a traffic signal at I-24 Interchange at SR-171 (Old Hickory Blvd), Exit 62, Eastbound Ramp, Ramp Queue Project No.119739.00; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A, TDOT will
install the traffic signal and Metro will maintain the traffic signal; and,

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 12-9-104(a)(2)(b), authorizes The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to approve an agreement with TDOT by resolution; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this traffic signal work be carried out in State Project No. 19002-3186-94.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Signal Maintenance Agreement No. 150209 with TDOT, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved, and that the Director of the Department of Public Works is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
