RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-312

A resolution approving amendment one to the Tennessee Cooperative Agreement to Benefit Homeless Individuals (TN-CABHI) Grant which is a jointly funded program from the State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health, and Substance Abuse Services to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, to enhance or develop the infrastructure of Tennessee and the treatment service systems for the population (service recipients).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health, and Substance Abuse Services, to enhance or develop the infrastructure of Tennessee and the treatment service systems for the population (service recipients) approved by RS2015-7; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by deleting Section A in its entirety and replacing it with the new Section A attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the Tennessee Cooperative Agreement to Benefit Homeless Individuals (TN-CABHI) Grant which is a jointly funded program from the State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health, and Substance Abuse Services and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, to enhance or develop the infrastructure of Tennessee and the treatment service systems for the population (service recipients), a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
