RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-233

A resolution declaring surplus and approving the disposition of certain parcels of real property in accordance with BL2015-45 and described below (Proposal No. 2016M-008PR-001).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government owns certain parcels of property identified as shown in Section 1 below; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government has determined that these certain parcels of property are no longer needed for governmental purposes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY;

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council declares the following parcels of land, owned in fee simple by the Metropolitan Government, and described hereto and incorporated herein, to be surplus.

Section 2. The Director of Public Property is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of said property listed above in accordance with the Standard Rules and Regulations for the disposition of surplus property.

Section 3. The proceeds from the sale of said parcel(s) of property shall be credited to the General Fund of the district from whose operating budget the last department, commission, board or agency using the real property is financed.

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
RESOLUTION NO. RS2016-233

Mr. President –

I move to amend Resolution No. RS2016-233 as follows:

I. By amending Section 3 by deleting it in its entirety and substituting therefore the following:

Section 3. The proceeds from the sale of said parcel(s) of property shall be credited to the Barnes Fund for Affordable Housing established pursuant to Substitute Ordinance No. BL2013-487.
